MY EXPECTATIONS FOR FORTH YEAR
During my transition year in Saint Gerard's I hope to develop my personal skills and mature as a student. This year I am taking part in several new modules such as CSI-Forensic science and Public speaking. I am looking forward to studying there new classes as they are interesting and will add to my skill set and end of year CV. I am also taking several courses this year, such as boxing, first aid and an out of school cooking class. I will also be going to the gym and coaching my brothers rugby team to help me complete my Gaisce during forth year. This Gaisce award aims to encourage the development of all young people through personal challenges, and will be exciting and challenging to complete. I am excited to start my training for first aid as it is a useful life skill that many of my Australian friends already have. I am also looking forward to boxing and gym work as they will keep me fit for rugby in fifth and sixth year.
This year I have also been selected as the team leader for my group's YSI project, along with my classmate Sarah Murphy. I am excited to work on my project this year as it was one of the things I have looked forward to doing in fourth year. We are doing our project on healthy eating and diet. This year I will also be be completing several weeks of work experience across a wide number of jobs, such as real estate to engineering. I will be traveling to Australia for six weeks. During this time I will be doing work experience in Qantas, the Australian commercial airliner company. I will also be working in an engineering firm.
All in all, my expectations of fourth year is a chance to develop myself with new skills and knowledge. I am looking forward to the new and exciting activities that I will experience this year.
